About Anya

Anya Gupta is a sixteen-year-old singer-songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee whose music celebrates self-love, individuality, and the light we all carry within us. That spirit runs through every track she writes, blending thoughtful lyricism with melodies built to lift listeners up and help them embrace who they are.

“For me, songwriting is a way to clear my mind. When I write about the challenges I face as a teenager, it helps me understand them and move through them.”— Anya

She began studying voice at age six and has spent nearly a decade performing everywhere from nursing-home Christmas concerts to the Delta Fair stage. Since discovering her passion for songwriting, she has honed her craft at Langston Studios and earned recognition as a finalist in both The Factor and Delta Songwriting Star competitions. In September 2026 she performed live and was interviewed on WREG News Channel 3’s Live at 9 in Memphis, and in October she was a guest on WKRN News 2’s Local on 2 in Nashville.

Her debut seven-song album, Becoming, was released September 18, 2026, featuring the focus track “Not For You” and the singles “Tat Twam Asi,” “Awaken the Lights,” and “You’re Original.” It introduces an artist whose music invites listeners to embrace exactly who they are.
